Here we will showcase efforts to increase our institutional capacities to support the success of all students pursuing STEM majors and related careers, most especially those from historically underrepresented backgrounds. Travel funds (housing and plane fare, mileage, etc.) are available on a first come first served basis.  The conference will begin with dinner at 5:30 pm on Friday 10/25. On Saturday 10/26, throughout the day, there will be brief panel presentations by practitioners on 1) undergraduate student experiences in STEM, 2) STEM gateway courses, 3) STEM transfer students, and 4) academic support for STEM students, followed by ample time for discussion, reflection, and exchange. Our conference will conclude on Saturday with a plenary reflection and discussion of next steps that will carry over to informal conversations over food and drink at 5 pm. More conference details and registration information will follow, including how to apply for travel funds.
In the meanwhile, please save the date to join colleagues from the UC, CSU, and California Community College systems committed to making STEM more equitable and accessible to all.
