Biography

My teaching activities focus on the implementation and adoption of bioinformatics as an essential component of undergraduate and graduate life sciences education at UCSD and beyond. To this end I have developed four new courses since joining UCSD in July of 2017. Each course addresses this previously underrepresented area of the curriculum (namely bioinformatics, genomics and data science for biologists).
